Workers Compensation
Workers compensation is a form insurance that provides wage replacement and medical benefits to employees injured in the course of employment in exchange for mandatory relinquishment of the employee’s right to sue his or her employer for the tort of negligence. All proper and necessary treatment for conditions allowed under a workers compensation claim will be covered and you should not receive a bill for that treatment. If you have been injured at work, you have up to two years to file a claim with Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation (BWC).
BWC will process the application for benefits within 28 days and will send a letter of approval or denial for treatment. Although you have up to two years to file, it is significantly more beneficial to file within two weeks of the injury. Chiropractors study anatomy and physiology extensively and can treat musculoskeletal and radicular pain where other treatment has failed.
