Meet Dr. Mario Brunicardi. Dr. Brunicardi is a board-certified family medicine doctor for Anodyne of Westerville. He has over 20 years of experience in multiple joint and soft tissue injections in the treatment of a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

 

His special interests include family practice with a special interest in non-surgical orthopedic and sports medicine treatment using the latest innovative techniques. Dr. Brunicardi provides evaluation, diagnosis, non-surgical treatment, and follow-up care for a wide range of conditions, including sports and overuse injuries, joint and muscle pain, tendinitis and sprains and strains.

 

He graduated from The Ohio State University Honors program with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics before completing his doctorate at The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1991. Dr. Brunicardi joined the Mt. Carmel Medical Center Family Medicine Residency in 1995, where he was named Chief Administrative Resident and Resident Teacher of the Year in 1998

 

In 1998, he joined Grove City Family Health, a multi-disciplinary practice, where he focused on a patient centered approach to medicine with emphasis on wellness and sports medicine. In 2003 he began working with Mid-Ohio Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine – later becoming OhioHealth Orthopedics and Sports Medicine – where he gained further experience in musculoskeletal care from sports related injuries to end stage arthritic conditions. During this time, he also served as the team physician for Ashland University and a community preceptor for the Doctors Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program.
